January kicked off the 86th Texas Legislative Session!  As always, education is a much debated topic throughout the session.

Did you know that HISD has a legislative center webpage that is full of great information about the session agenda, who’s who in our legislature, and how YOU can stay engaged?   Check it out: https://www.houstonisd.org/legislativecenter

Here are the legislators that specifically represent the area where FBMS resides:

  • Senator District 15-   John Whitmire

  • Representative District 139- Jarvis Johnson

  • Representative District 148 -  Jessica Cristina Farrar
