Goodbye From 8th Grade Dean, Mr. McClish

We are passing along the letter below on behalf of our wonderful 8th grade dean, Mr. McClish. He has been such a big part of all the great things that have happened at FBMS the past six years. We will miss him so much, but wish him the very best and know that he is going to be an amazing principal. Thanks for everything Mr. McClish.

Gratefully,
The FBMS PTO

Greetings Panther Parents, Students, Staff and Faculty!

After six wonderful years of working with the best students, parents, teachers and administrators in HISD it is time for me to bid a very fond farewell to the Frank Black Middle School Community. I have been fortunate enough to have been offered the opportunity to serve as the new principal of the School at St. George Place here in HISD. While this is indeed exciting, it is also bittersweet because of all the memories, relationships and connections I have made with so many wonderful parents, families and students over the years. I am so thankful for the impact you have made on me and of course am always at your service.

To the parents and families: Thank you so much for all of your support over the years. I have never met such thoughtful and selfless people and was amazed with the way that you cared about all of our students at FBMS. The partnership between our parents and school personnel are one of the special hallmarks of our school, and I am so thankful for each of you that have touched my life over the years.

To our teachers and staff: We have an outstanding faculty that is not only talented, but more importantly committed to our students and being a support and facilitator of their success. Our students were blessed with a great group that challenged them with high expectations while at the same time serving as positive role models on how to carry themselves.

To my fellow administrators: It has been an honor to learn under remarkable principals such as Ms. Honore and Mr. Castagnoli, who each have taught me so much and guided me along the path of being the leader I am today. I am also incredibly thankful for my fellow deans and administrators who each supported me and made up some of the best professional teams I have had the pleasure to work with.

To the students: I will miss you immensely and I look forward to hearing about all the great things that you will do in high school and beyond. It has been a pleasure to be your dean over the years.

I am so grateful to have served at FBMS. Being a Panther has been the most rewarding professional experience of my life and I am excited to see what is on the horizon for our students and FBMS community in the years to come.

Panther Proud,

Sean McClish
