Homecoming 2026 — FBMS vs. West Briar at Delmar Stadium. Kickoff is 5:30 PM on Tuesday, October 13.
The 7th grade Homecoming Dance is Friday, October 16 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. Sunday best attire, and there will be prizes. 90s or glow-inspired looks are welcome, but not required.
Students must be picked up no later than 7:05 PM. Dismissal starts five minutes before the end of the dance if a ride is already outside.

Join us for the FBMS Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration, “Together, We Are More,” on Thursday, October 8 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM in the FBMS auditorium. Through music, dance, theater, art, and cultural traditions, students will showcase Hispanic cultures, voices, achievements, and contributions. Student hosts will guide the program in both English and Spanish. Waltrip and HSPVA students are taking part too, and there will be food.

The Panthers Tennis Team begins Monday, September 14 at 7:00 AM at the FBMS tennis courts. 6th–8th graders welcome.

Fall practices will be on Mondays and Wednesdays. For those who decide to participate after the initial week, there is a $95 membership fee for the semester.
Bring to practice: tennis racquet, water, athletic shoes.

Need a sports physical for the upcoming school year? Thursday, Aug 13 starting at 4:30 PM at Frank Black Middle School. Cost: $25 (cash only). All students planning to participate in school athletics need a current physical on file. Questions: ACASTEL2@houstonisd.org.
The FBMS PTO is collecting new or gently used uniforms: grade-level shirts (red, gray, black), pants & knee-length shorts, spirit shirts, and hoodless outerwear. Drop off donations at the FBMS Front Office this week. Items should be clean and free of stains, holes, and tears.
The Frank Black Middle School Parent Teacher Organization is an active and collaborative organization that exists to provide support to Frank Black Middle School in Houston, Texas.
